C’è anche un po’ d’Italia nella notte delle stelle hollywoodiane: mentre Birdman sbaraglia la concorrenza e diventa il film dell’anno, Milena Canonero vince il suo quarto Oscar per i costumi di Grand Budapest Hotel di Wes Anderson.
In una serata più lunga del solito e avara di ritmo, i grandi sconfitti sono Michael Keaton, sicuro vincitore a cui invece l’Oscar è stato soffiato da Eddie Redmayne e Boyhood, che riesce a portarsi a casa solo la statuetta di Patricia Arquette.
Memorabile l’esibizione di Lady Gaga in onore dei 50 anni dall’uscita di Tutti insieme appassionatamente, omaggiata dalla stessa Julie Andrews.
