MALPENSA – Sarà il Parco e museo dedicato al “Sogno del volo” della Provincia di Varese il miglior luogo dove presentare programmi ed iniziative legate al Centenario della Siai Marchetti.
Toccherà quindi a Volandia (uno dei più importanti Musei d’Italia dedicati al Mondo del Volo), sorto sulle Storiche Officine Caproni, dare il via al tributo ufficiale ad una Storia, molto Sestese, di Uomini ed Aeroplani. Non c’era luogo migliore per indicare in quale modo si vuole ricordare le vicende che sono state sinonimo di progresso e conquista della Storia dell’Aviazione in Italia e nel Mondo. Il ‘velo cadrà’ quindi sulla serie di eventi (dal 13 Giugno al 25 Luglio 2015) promossi dal Comitato del Centenario e che ha proprio nella raccolta fondi promossa dal sito ufficiale un progetto ambizioso.
L’occasione sarà anche propizia per presentare, in anteprima, l’Orologio del Centenario della Siai Marchetti nato da una idea di Limbiati Tempo & Preziosi di Sesto Calende è stata resa possibile grazie al contributo di Memphis Belle, il cui impegno creativo è legato al Mondo del Volo. Vedranno per la prima volta la luce, nell’allestimento suggestivo che riproduce fedelmente il ritrovamento del S.M.79 avvenuto più di 50 anni fa nel Deserto Libico, i 2 Orologi, un Solo Tempo ed un Chrono entrambi al Quarzo, personalizzati con il Logo Ufficiale del Centenario e prodotti in una Edizione Limitata di 500 pezzi ciascuno e personalizzabili, con un proprio nome e cognome, sul fondello dell’Orologio che riporta, oltre alla numerazione progressiva, anche il profilo di 2 veivoli che hanno positivamente segnato la Storia della Società Idrovolanti Alta Italia.
L’S.55, forse il veivolo più rappresentativo dell’attività progettuale dell’Ing.Alessandro Marchetti e che guadagno la propria fama grazie alle imprese aviatorie degli anni’30, e l’S.79, famoso per il soprannome di ‘Gobbo Maledetto’ il più veloce bombardiere medio del Mondo.
