CANTU’ – Si è tenuta oggi martedì 16 ottobre presso la Sala Giunta del Comune di Cantù la presentazione della 116′ mostra zootecnica “Fiera del crocifisso” che ti terrà a Cantù domenica 21 ottobre dalle 10 alle 18 al piazzale Brighi.

A prendere la parola è stato il vice sindaco del Comune di Cantù Alice Galbiati che ha parlato di una fiera molto conosciuta nel territorio e da quest’anno con una veste nuova. L’anno scorso iniziò un percorso di recupero della fiera, che ha portato quest’anno ad un’organizzazione più strutturata tenendo ben saldo il patrimonio storico che riveste, cercando di mantenere le tradizioni che la caratterizzano da molti anni. Una Mostra zootecnica rinnovata e ringiovanita. Un grazie particolare va a tutta la macchina organizzativa del Comune di Cantù, in particolare all’Assessore alla Cultura ed Attività Economiche Matteo Ferrari. La grande novità di questa 116° Edizione è l’affidamento della parte organizzativa all’Associazione Pro loco per Cantù, diventata l’interlocutore unico di cui il comune di Cantù necessitava per tutte le incombenze burocratiche. Le aspettative per questa edizione sono molto alte. Il Vice Sindaco Galbiati ha inoltre ricordato anche la fiera merceologica con le bancarelle che si snoderà in Viale Madonna e via attigue con molte bancarelle.

Ha preso poi la parola il presidente dell’associazione Pro Loco per Cantù Valeriano Maspero che ha voluto innanzitutto ringraziare l’Amministrazione Comunale di Cantù per aver incaricato l’Associazione di curare la parte organizzativa della fiera. Una fiera che si tramanda di generazione in generazione dove si è cercato di ricostruire al meglio i rapporti col territorio. Orgoglio e tradizione che in questi anni è stata portata avanti da un gruppo di macellai e “uomini di buona volontà” che hanno tenuto in piedi la mostra negli ultimi 30 anni. Un ringraziamento alla Regione Lombardia, in particolare all’assessore all’Agricoltura Rolfi che ha concesso il patrocinio. Grazie anche al Consiglio Regionale che, attraverso il presidente Alessandro Fermi, ha dato un contributo economico importate alla mostra. Grazie anche a Cassa Rurale ed Artigiana di Cantù, in particolare al Presidente Angelo Porro e alla Responsabile Marketing Nicoletta Mezzalira che anche quest’anno hanno sostenuto economicamente la mostra. Parte importante della fiera è curata dagli Amici Volontari Onlus della Protezione Civile che cureranno l’aspetto gastronomico, alla Scuderia Santanaga Cantù per il battesimo della sella ed a Coldiretti Como presenti con i loro mercatini. I ringraziamenti sono proseguiti ai membri della Associazione Pro Loco per Cantù che dal mese d’Aprile (quando è stato ufficialmente comunicato l’affidamento della organizzazione) si sono impegnati senza sosta in un campo tutto da scoprire.

Importante novità di quest’anno è la giuria di qualità, composta dai veterinari delle tre maggiori fiere della provincia.

A seguire l’intervento del consigliere della Pro Loco per Cantù Antonio Molteni che ha spiegato la grande novità di quest’anno della mostra, che sarà coperta con una tendostruttura di 20 x 40 metri che in caso di maltempo riparerà gli animali dalle intemperie. La fiera ha riscosso un ottimo successo tra allevatori e macellai, presenti in numero di 12 con più di 60 animali divisi tra bovini adulti e vitelli da latte. Il grande successo di partecipazione denota l’importanza della mostra. Le premiazioni dei migliori soggetti e della azienda che otterrà il punteggio più alto si terrà sabato 27 ottobre alle 10 in sala giunta Cantù. Ha preso poi la parola Felice Borghi, consigliere Pro Loco per Cantù, che ha sottolineato anche l’importanza della partecipazione per il primo anno della Azienda Agricola La Cascina del Sole di Asso che sarà presente con la fattoria didattica per i bambini con 2 asini, 4 capre e 4 pecore. Inoltre ci sarà il laboratorio di “Grooming e coccole” con asini capre e pecore ed il laboratorio creativo “Lanando” utilizzando la lana delle pecore. Presenza confermata quest’anno invece per il Centro Ippico Scuderie Santanaga di Via Ovidio a Cantù con il tradizionale battesimo della sella per tutti i bambini con la presenza di 5 pony. Per Coldiretti Como è intervenuto il responsabile di settore, Giacomo Guffanti, che si è detto onorato di poter partecipare con gli operatori a km zero che tanto successo riscuotono ogni martedì in piazza Garibaldi a Cantù. E sempre da Coldiretti arriva la fattoria didattica La Cascina del sole che proporrà anche laboratori con i bambini

Per l’amministrazione comunale di Cantù è intervenuto anche Matteo Ferrari. Assessore alla Cultura ed attività economiche che ha ricordato l’importante promessa mantenuta dall’attuale amministrazione relativa alla soluzione dei problemi e delle criticità sottoposte dai macellai l’anno scorso, risolvendo i problemi legati alla sicurezza ed alla logistica affidando ad un’Associazione valida del territorio (Pro Loco per Cantù) la parte organizzativa per riportare la fiera ai fasti di una volta. Inoltre ha rimarcato l’importante impegno economico del Comune di Cantù che va a coprire 2/3 dei costi totali.
