GERENZANO – Nei giorni scorsi il sindaco Stefania Castagnoli, a nome dell’Amministrazione civica e di tutti i cittadini gerenzanesi, ha consegnato una targa commemorativa al Gruppo di Protezione civile di Gerenzano, in occasione del 20° anniversario di servizio alla comunità.
Come ricordato dal Comune “da due decenni, queste donne e questi uomini volontari dedicano tempo, energia e competenza per garantire la sicurezza e il benessere di tutti noi. Dal supporto durante emergenze naturali alle iniziative di prevenzione e sensibilizzazione, il loro impegno è inestimabile. Abbiamo voluto, prima del concerto, far sentire l’abbraccio di tutti i cittadini e il nostro più caloroso ringraziamento a tutti coloro che hanno reso possibile questo traguardo.
Insieme ora guardiamo con speranza e determinazione ai prossimi 20 anni e oltre!”
Riportiamo di seguito il discorso del Sindaco Stefania Castagnoli:
Questa sera vorrei celebrare un’importante ricorrenza che ci offre l’occasione di riflettere sul valore della solidarietà e dell’impegno civico. Nel corso degli anni, abbiamo visto crescere e rafforzarsi una realtà che rappresenta un pilastro fondamentale della nostra comunità.
I volontari che ne fanno parte, con la loro dedizione e professionalità, hanno affrontato situazioni difficili e complesse, sempre con l’obiettivo di proteggere e aiutare il prossimo. Sono stati una presenza costante e rassicurante nei momenti di emergenza, dimostrando un’incredibile capacità di organizzazione e intervento. Il loro lavoro instancabile e il loro spirito di servizio ci ricordano ogni giorno quanto sia importante il contributo di ciascuno di noi per il bene comune. Non solo si sono fatti carico delle emergenze, ma hanno anche saputo promuovere la cultura della prevenzione e della sicurezza, sensibilizzando la popolazione su temi cruciali e formando nuove generazioni di volontari pronti a seguire il loro esempio. Sto parlando del nostro Gruppo di Protezione civile! Oggi, in occasione del 20esimo anniversario di servizio alla nostra Comunità, vogliamo celebrare un traguardo che rappresenta non solo il passato, ma anche il futuro di questa straordinaria squadra.
Quindi consegno, con orgoglio e riconoscenza, al coordinatore Guglielmo Montrasio in rappresentanza di tutti i volontari oggi presenti e a coloro che hanno fatto parte in passato di questo gruppo, una targa di ringraziamento per il vostro impegno e la vostra passione e dedizione, simbolo della nostra stima e del nostro affetto. Facciamo sentire il nostro grazie e il nostro abbraccio con un forte applauso! Vorrei fare un appello: la Protezione civile ha bisogno di nuove forze, di persone pronte a dedicare un po’ del loro tempo e delle loro energie per il bene della comunità. Diventare volontario è un’opportunità unica per fare la differenza. Vi invito pertanto a considerare la possibilità di candidarvi come volontari della Protezione civile, confermandovi fin da ora che il vostro contributo non solo sarà prezioso e apprezzato, ma vi permetterà di vivere un’esperienza umana e formativa straordinaria.
