Tanti sono infatti i medici diplomati e diplomandi del Master in “Mountain medicine”, Mmm, provenienti da tutta Italia e da Paesi europei. Fino al 25 gennaio 2015 è possibile iscriversi alla terza edizione dell’International Master Course in Mountain Medicine e al nuovissimo “International Master course in Mountain emergency medicine”.
“I mountain doctor sono medici di spedizione e medici in grado di allestire un ambulatorio di medicina di montagna – spiega Luigi Festi, direttore del master – È una nuova tipologia di medico, intermedio tra il medico del soccorso alpino vero e proprio ed il medico ospedaliero che, con una preparazione medico-scientifica e anche pratica-alpinistica di altissimo livello, sviluppata nell’arco di due anni, si pone come punto di riferimento ad alta specializzazione nel campo della medicina di montagna con grande attenzione all’aspetto della prevenzione e del trattamento sul campo di incidenti o malori”. Alla preparazione medico-scientifica si associa un training prolungato e completo in grado di garantire una preparazione eccellente anche nelle tecniche alpinistiche e di arrampicata, in questo supportati dalle scuole nazionali del Club alpino italiano e da alpinisti d’élite; al fine di formare «un medico che si sappia muovere in sicurezza e che conosca e interpreti l’ambiente montano, in ogni suo aspetto”.
“Il master è diventato ormai punto di riferimento a livello mondiale, potendo contare su collaborazioni prestigiose lungo tutto l’arco alpino e, da quest’anno anche in territorio extra-europeo, con l’accordo con il corso in Mountain Medicine dell’Università del New Mexico, dove ci recheremo in ottobre per lezioni teoriche e pratiche nel Grand Canyon – continua Festi – Per la prossima edizione le altre novità sono la collaborazione con l’Università di Innsbruck e con l’Institute for Snow and Avalanche Research di Davos in Svizzera punto di riferimento a livello mondiale. La complessità del corso e la sua completezza sono state riconosciute al congresso dell’International Society mountain medicine, svoltosi a Bolzano nello scorso mese di maggio e sempre più spedizioni richiedono l’apporto di medici diplomatisi nel nostro master”.
Da quest’anno al master in Mountain medicine, si associa la prima edizione del master in Mountain emergency medicine, Memm, che trae origine dalla fusione del Master in Mm con il corso organizzato da Alpine Rescue Center di Zermatt che fa capo ad Air Zermatt.”Tale corso ha rappresentato fino ad ora il punto di riferimento a livello mondiale nel campo della preparazione medica e paramedica al soccorso alpino in elicottero, specializzato nell’intervento in zone impervie e in condizioni difficili. È l’unico corso in Mountain emergency medicine riconosciuto dalle maggiori organizzazioni mediche del soccorso a livello internazionale, Cisa-Ikar, Ismm e Uiaa Medcom, e l’aver accettato di unirsi al master in Mountain medicine per dare vita ad un unico percorso didattico, credo rappresenti motivo di grande soddisfazione e di riconoscimento, e dia ancora più valore al campo della medicina di montagna e dell’emergenza italiana” commenta ancora Festi.
Il percorso didattico del Memm è in gran parte simile al Mmm, ma con nove giorni in più di training medico ed alpinistico con il supporto dell’elicottero, per garantire una preparazione il più possibile completa ed unica nel campo dell’emergenza in ambiente alpino, e con una specializzazione particolare nel soccorso in ambiente impervio e difficile. Il Memm è riservato a medici, o infermieri con laurea magistrale, che siano specialisti nel campo dell’emergenza-urgenza, per creare una figura sanitaria ad alta specializzazione nel campo del soccorso alpino europeo ed extra-europeo.
