VARESE – Girare un filmato che si rifà al “cinema sperimentale degli anni ’60 e ’70” e ottenere così un premio in denaro e soprattutto la possibilità di perfezionarsi nella comunicazione audiovisiva. È questa l’anima del premio di studio intitolato alla memoria di Gianfranco Brebbia, film-maker varesino che ha realizzato negli anni ’60 e ’70 circa cento filmati di cinema sperimentale.
“Quello che all’epoca si definiva “cinema sperimentale” era un cinema di ricerca e non narrativo. Oggi forse parleremmo di un territorio che confina con la video arte” afferma Giovanna Brebbia, figlia del regista e ideatrice del premio. Il bando è indirizzato agli studenti del secondo e terzo anno del corso di laurea triennale in Scienze della comunicazione e agli studenti iscritti alla laurea magistrale in Scienze e tecniche della comunicazione dell’Università degli studi dell’Insubria. Il filmato dovrà ispirarsi alla produzione di Brebbia, che è messa a disposizione dei partecipanti su Vimeo (per informazioni giovanna.brebbia@alice.it).
Per partecipare c’è tempo fino al 20 marzo, quindi la commissione formata da membri del Dipartimento di scienze teoriche e applicate dell’Ateneo sceglierà il video migliore. Il vincitore si aggiudicherà un premio in denaro, che però potrà riscuotere soltanto dopo aver concluso la partecipazione a un periodo di tirocinio al Laboratorio multimediale di Ateneo diretto da Andrea Bellavita, dove avrà l’opportunità di perfezionarsi nella produzione video dalla scrittura al montaggio di un filmato. La cerimonia di premiazione del vincitore avverrà il 17 aprile nell’ambito del convegno “Idea assurda per un film-maker. Gianfranco Brebbia e il cinema sperimentale. Cultura internazionale a Varese negli anni ’60 e ‘70” che avrà sede al collegio “Carlo Cattaneo” di via Dunant 5 a Varese.
