Friends forever, nuovo corto di Silighini iscritto per gli Oscar

SARONNO – “È un segnale di ripresa e fiducia che come operatore di cinema da ormai 27 anni voglio lanciare unendomi ai tanti colleghi americani. Un atto d’amore e fiducia nel nostro lavoro sperando che dopo questo buio appaia la luce della serenità” inizia così la nota del regista Luciano Silighini Garagnani che annuncia l’iscrizione dello short movie “Friends forever” agli Oscar 2021 nella categoria miglior cortometraggio.

“Friends forever l’ho direttto qualche anno fa e girato interamente nel territorio saronnese. Un vero e proprio mini film che in solo 8 minuti racconta una storia piena di colpi di scena,risvolti inaspettati tutti in chiave noir tra cimiteri abbandonati e il profondo significato della continuità della vita oltre la morte” dichiara il regista “Cogliate con le sue stradine intricate, Bregnano coi suoi angoli nascosti e Saronno con le sue immense particolarità con una bellissima panoramica del Lago di Como sono le location dove il cogliatese Simone Bacuzzi e gli altri attori danno vita a questa storia.”La pellicola è interamente girata in formato 4k a 24 frame e audio 5.1 come richiesto dall’Academy lasciando intendere che fin dalla sua produzione nel 2017 Silighini aveva già in cantiere questa candidatura.

“Era da Seline nel 2016 che non iscrivevo un mio prodotto agli Oscar e anche lì fu per un cortometraggio arrivando a un soffio dalla nomination finale. Friends forever lo tenevo in soffitta aspettando l’occasione e mai come ora un film sulla vita che non muore mai è il messaggio importante che ci vuole per iniziare a fare ripartire il nostro settore che, molti ignorano, ha avuto un crollo immenso dalla pandemia con distribuzioni in sala bloccate e set tuttora chiusi” conclude il regista.

Entro febbraio 2021 verrà resa pubblica la reminder list dei 10 film che ad aprile entreranno in nomination e concorreranno all’ambita statuetta.
