Quando mancano le idee però c’è poco da fare, specie se il film è affossato da una gestione della campagna di lancio internazionale a dir poco disastrosa, con trailer che rivelano i colpi di scena centrali del film, servizi fotografici infelici e nulla che possa portare al cinema qualcuno che non sia già interessato alla saga. A salvarsi è proprio il buon vecchio Arnold, ma non per incompetenza del resto del cast, quanto piuttosto perché è l’unico ruolo su cui si sono spese un paio di buone idee.

Ripercorrere la saga così come la conosciamo e aggiornarla con svolte inaspettate non era di per sé una cattiva idea, ma lasciare aperti enormi buchi nella trama in vista di un sequel e affidarsi alla mera forza dello spiegone denota una certa pigrizia e una domanda sottointesa: valeva la pena di scomodare questo reboot solo per il gusto di farlo?
