A Saronno la “scuola” dei moderni esploratori

SARONNO I moderni esploratori si formano a Saronno: in un periodo in cui i format televisivi ci propongono avventurieri moderni, sempre di origine americana, impegnati in spedizioni estreme in ogni angolo del mondo può risultar difficile credere che una delle culle della formazione dei moderni Indiana Jones sia propio nei nostri confini comunali.

Principale fautore di questo nuovo corso è Renzo Moltrasio che da un passato come presidente del Running Saronno si è man mano specializzato in corse e spedizioni in territori ostili e con la collaborazione di esploratori ed atleti internazionali come Ray Zahab e Stefano Gregoretti ha dato il via ad una vera e propria fucina di atleti in grado di avventurarsi nelle terre più estreme e selvagge.

Un primo gruppo di Italiani adeguatamente preparati ed equipaggiati prenderà il via con lo stesso Renzo alla mitica Yukon Artic Ultra, temutissima competizione-esplorazione nelle lande ghiacciate di White Horse in autosufficienza. I nostri avventurieri trascineranno, correndo, delle slitte con tutto il necessario per sopravvivere lungo le 300 desolate miglia previste da questa prova estrema.

E dall’ altro capo del mondo? In Patagonia Gregoretti, Zahab e Ryan Grant stanno in questi giorni affrontando un avventura ancora più sovraumana, un cost to cost di 1200 chilometri, ovviamente di corsa! Tanti sforzi e tanto impegno non sono volti solo alla formazione delle future leve di “esploratori dell’estremo” ma anche al supporto di un più ampio progetto benefico volto a sostenere l’operato dell associazione “Impossible 2 possible” che vuol avvicinare i giovani allo sport ed alla condivisione per aiutarli a crescere ed a credere maggiormente in se stessi e nelle proprie capacità. Un progetto che all’estero conta ormai su di una stabile cooperazione fra istituti scolastici che vedono nella vita all’aria aperta e nel mettere alla prova se stessi un ottimo strumento di formazione e crescita per i giovani studenti. Nella volontà di far approdare questo programma formativo anche in Italia giunge lo sforzo di questi sportivi con tanta voglia di mostrare le proprie imprese non al fine di gloriarsi ma di incentivare chiunque ad andare un poco oltre, a sognare a lottare per un nuovo obiettivo. Saronno si rivelerà pronta a raccogliere il messaggio e la sana sfida degli “impossible 2 possible”?
